What are you canning?

Most crops are seasonal from local Farms.

HOW LONG WILL CANNED FOODS LAST?

Properly canned vegetables will retain optimum eating quality for at least 1 year; Jelly for up to three years (although it’s too delicious to last that long on the shelf!!). It is recommended that food is consumed within that period of time.

Canned food stored in a warm place (near hot pipes, a range or furnace, in direct sunlight, etc.) may lose some of its eating quality in a few weeks or months, depending on the temperature.

Dampness may corrode cans or metal lids and can cause leakage, causing food spoilage.

What do I put pepper jelly on?

Everything!!! You can enjoy it served over cream cheese or warmed brie with crackers, as a glaze on meats and seafood, stuffed in meatloaf or hamburgers, on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, used as a marinade for a pork loin, or used as a dipping sauce for fried fish, egg rolls, or chicken. The possibilities are endless!!!

What happened to my favorite item?

we use seasonal fruits and vegetables. If your favorite item is out of stock, no worries, it will be back in stock during its next growing season.
